Learn from the first sites to achieve AWS Certification in the textile sector, and hear how it supports one of Pakistan’s largest manufacturing industries to build resilience.

The Textiles Sector remains one of the largest manufacturing industries in Pakistan driving economic growth. However, it is also one of the most water-intensive and polluting sectors in the country.

With sustainability as the need of the hour, many of these industries are adopting the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) Standard to create new pathways to resilience, responsibility and co-existance in harmony with nature.

The Webinar will consist of presentations from AWS, WWF, and organisations implementing the AWS Standard:

  • Sohaib Waseem Anwar, Coordinator Projects, Freshwater Programs – WWF Pakistan
  • Hafiz Muhammad Azeem, Manager Compliance, US Denim Mills
  • Syeda Faiza Jamil, Group General Manager, Corporate Responsibility and Communication – Artistic Milliners
  • Maheen Malik, Country Coordinator for Pakistan, AWS

Moderator: Brenda McIlwraith, Marketing & Communications Manager, AWS
