Water users, including private businesses, implementing the AWS Standard are required to contribute to Good Water Governance. Good governance is also, commonly, a stated aim of policy. Two expert commentators will be interviewed to discuss their experiences and offer their reflections on how major water problems may be tackled by combining private initiative and public action:
– Emma Carmody, an Environmental Lawyer with extensive experience of the application of law and policy in relation to water sharing arrangements in Australia and other countries; and
– Trevor Bishop, Director of Water Resources South East, formerly Deputy Director of Water Resources at the Environment Agency (the water regulator) in England.
The interviewer will be Peter Newborne AWS Coordinator – Europe. The pre-recorded interviews will be followed by a live Q&A.
